Thursday morning we all saw pictures of the vehicle completely submerged in the flood waters at the Jefferson St. underpass. What you may not have seen are the Lafayette firefighters who bravely rescued a woman trapped in that vehicle.

The Lafayette Fire Department just posted this photo showing four Lafayette firefighters rescuing the woman from the vehicle.

From the Lafayette Fire Department Facebook page -

"Lafayette firefighters save female victim trapped in her vehicle in Jefferson Street underpass yesterday. Broke a window, removed her from the vehicle and rescued from flood waters. Great job."

Yes, absolutely a great job!
