Lafayette Weather – Soggy Saturday

If you want to enjoy the outdoors this weekend, the best place to look might be indoors at the Louisiana Outdoor Expo. There are a couple of reasons we suggest the Expo for your entertainment. Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty will be inside today and Mother Nature will bring rain outside today.

The current radar scan from the National Weather Service indicates a large area of scattered precipitation across the southern two thirds of the state this morning.  The heaviest activity is to the north and east of Acadiana. There are some additional showers and thunderstorms intensifying back to the west in Southeast Texas.

The official forecast from our TV partners at KATC TV 3 says the better than average rain chances shouldn't foul up your entire weekend but today might be a good day for an umbrella.
