With so many activities happening around Acadiana this weekend Dave Baker really needed to come through with a great forecast. He did.

Dave tells us to tell you not to forget your sunscreen no matter where you are headed this weekend. For the most part skies will be sunny with a few passing clouds both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be in the low 80 degree range for both days.

This means that those attending the NCAA Regional Softball Tournament at Lamson Park will need a hat, sunglasses and something a good SPF rating to run on their skin. The same can be said for those attending Ragin Cajun baseball's final regular season series against the Louisiana Monroe Warkhawks at Tigue Moore Field.

A great forecast also means that graduation parties will not need umbrellas, unless it's for the sunshine. Spring commencement ceremonies are scheduled for U.L. and the Cajundome on Saturday. This could lead to some parking issues when you include the softball and baseball crowds in the mix.

Home gardeners and lawn enthusiasts will want to know that sprinklers will probably be needed over the course of next week as the long range outlook for Acadiana does not include a significant chance of showers for at least the next 8 days.
