We all know Larry the Cable Guy and his snazzy catchphrase "git-er-done". He didn't invent the phrase but he has become synonomous with it.

Apparently now he believes he has enough claim to it that he is suing a place in Diamondhead, Mississippi called the Giterdone gas station.

Giterdone not only uses Larry's catchphrase, it also sells merchandise with the logo on it, including beer, knives and packaged meat. (You had me at packaged meat.)

And to top it all off, the place has a rusty old truck parked outside, no doubt to replicate "Mater", the tow truck that Larry voices in the hit Disney franchise "Cars".

Ultimately, Larry wants them to ditch the name and stop selling the products. He also wants all the profits from merchandise already sold.

It should be interesting to see how this all unfolds. Larry probably does have some kind of copyright on the phrase, but he didn't invent it. John Travolta even says it in the 1976 movie "Carrie".

Perhaps if Larry wins he'll donate the money to his Git-R-Done non-profit organization which he started in 2009 to help children's and veterans' organizations.
