Many of the LSU faithful are walking without the usual swagger we've come to expect of those that proudly wear the purple and gold. This has not been the year LSU football fans had been expecting.

It started out with a shaky, but strong, come back win over Wisconsin. Then, there were some cream puffs on the schedule, and the Tigers looked okay but not dominating. Then came Mississippi State and Auburn, and for many Tiger fans, the season was derailed.

Miles spoke to reporters about the team and delivered a very upbeat message about how he is viewing the Tigers' future.

"There is still a great opportunity for our football team to develop and be the kind of team we all want it to be."

Coach Miles made those remarks during his Monday press briefing.

He went on to say the starting quarterback job was still up for grabs with both Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris very much in consideration. He also suggested there were some changes and technical adjustments that needed to be made on defense.  Regardless of the setbacks, Miles remained very confident the Tigers would get their act together by this weekend.

This weekend's opponent, the Florida Gators, is having personnel issues of their own. Starting quarterback Jeff Driskell was benched in favor of true freshman Treon Harris last week. However, Harris has run into trouble with the law and is suspended for the LSU game. So, it looks as if Driskell will be back under center. Game time is 6:30pm Saturday night in Gainesville, Florida.
