Louisiana Lottery Results – $825,000 Winner Confirmed

A lot of Louisiana families may have turned out their lights last night dreaming of waking up in a totally different income bracket than the one in which they fell asleep. Wednesday's Powerball Lottery top prize was an estimated annuitized amount of $698.6 million when the ping pong balls dropped last night. Here's how they landed.

Louisiana Lottery Confirms $825,000 Winning Ticket Sold for Wednesday Drawing

Since Powerball was the drawing that was on most everyone's mind last night it's pretty easy to allow some of the other draw games to slip to the backburner. The Louisiana Lottery's Lotto game is one of those that you probably didn't think about playing, but someone in Louisiana did.

The Louisiana Lottery, via its Big Wins page is confirming preliminary details of a Lotto ticket sold for Wednesday night that matched all the numbers needed to take that game's top prize. In this case the top prize was $825,000.

Where Was the Winning Louisiana Lottery Ticket Sold?

Last night's big win in Lotto bucks the "tradition" of big money winners being sold usually within 50 miles either side of I-10. By the way, that's a fact, look it up. Instead of a South Louisiana winner we have a north Louisiana win in the town of Coushatta. That community is located in Red River Parish and the Louisiana Lottery has confirmed a retailer in that town sold the big money Lotto winner. We should get more point of purchase details from the Lottery later today.

What are the Current Powerball and Mega Millions Jackpots?

Since neither multi-state lottery game has gotten a jackpot winner in quite a while both games have huge amounts of cash to win. Powerball will be an estimated $750 million when they draw next on Saturday night.

The Mega Millions drawing will be held tomorrow night, Friday March 22,2024, and when the balls drop from the hopper the estimated top prize in that game will be $977 million.

The Lotto jackpot will return to its starting total of $500,000 on Saturday night and Easy 5 will rollover even more money for its Saturday game. The top prize in Easy 5 will be an estimated $120,000.
