Louisiana Lottery Confirms Weekend Jackpot Win
(KMDL-FM) I wasn't going to say anything, but Lady Luck has been mysteriously absent from Louisiana lottery drawings in recent weeks. Ever since Powerball had that huge, more than a billion-dollar win a few weeks back, the check-writing machine, at least in the "high limit" room at the lottery offices, has been gathering dust.
It is not like there are big jackpot prizes for players to win, either. Powerball, even after the big jackpot win, has bounced back nicely. Mega Millions, the other multi-state lottery game, has a jackpot that is approaching half a billion dollars. Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery should have been won a month ago, with a jackpot prize in excess of $2 million.

And finally, the game that we can all count on to deliver a winner, Easy 5, has been stone cold for the past several drawings as well. And naturally, you know I painted this picture of doom and gloom so I could tell we did get a jackpot winner as part of Saturday's drawings.
How Much Was The Powerball Jackpot on Saturday Night?
Let's look at how Saturday's big money games played out. First, there was Powerball. Here is how that drawing shook out Saturday night, September 27, 2025.
The published jackpot amount at the time of the drawing was $147.5 million. There were no tickets sold across the Powerball footprint that matched all the numbers needed to claim that jackpot prize. Powerball officials estimate that when the game draws again on Monday night, the jackpot prize will be close to $160 million for the annuitized jackpot.
Should a player match the numbers needed to win on Monday and want to take the jackpot win in a lump sum or cash payout. That total is expected to be close to $74.2 million.
What Were The Powerball Numbers Drawn on Saturday Night?
Our partners with the Louisiana Lottery confirmed the largest prize won by a Louisiana-sold ticket for Powerball last night was $200. There were nine tickets sold in Louisiana that earned that prize. The total number of winning tickets sold in the state for Powerball came close to 5,000 with about 1,900, a little less actually, winning extra money with the Power Play option of the game.
Here are the Powerball numbers for Saturday, September 27, 2025:
10 16 32 61 66 Powerball 04 Power Play x2
The Louisiana Lottery says just over 3,000 tickets have money coming back after just matching the Powerball, so if you think you have a winner, verify your ticket at the Official Louisiana Lottery Winner's Portal. You can check your numbers and get prize redemption information, too.
Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery also held a drawing last night. That game has been overachieving, if you ask me, for about two months. Normally, the Lotto jackpots don't get into the $2 million plus range, but this one has, and it continues to grow. The drawing on Saturday did not produce a jackpot winner.
What Were the Lotto Numbers in Louisiana on Saturday Night?
The Lotto numbers from Saturday were:
08 10 11 33 37 40
The Lotto jackpot on Wednesday night will be an estimated $2.65 million. Along with the Lotto drawing on Wednesday will be another Powerball drawing and a drawing in Easy 5, the other Louisiana game that draws on Saturday and Wednesday nights.
Easy 5 drew for a jackpot prize of $220,000 on Saturday. That's a lofty amount, especially when you consider each new Easy 5 game begins at $50,000. We are pleased to report that the Louisiana Lottery has confirmed there was a jackpot winner in the Easy 5 game last night.
Where Was the $200,000 Louisiana Lottery Winning Ticket Sold?
The winning ticket was sold in Slidell at the Stop 2 Shop on Robert Boulevard in that fair city. The actual prize amount on the Easy 5 winner is $223,475.00. Congratulations to the winner. Don't forget to put some money in the bank to pay those taxes that you will owe.
