
Louisiana $547 Million Medicare Fraud Suspect Added to FBI Most Wanted
LOUISIANA - A man accused of helping orchestrate a massive Medicare fraud scheme connected to Louisiana is back in the spotlight after being added to the FBI's Most Wanted Fraudsters list.
The FBI says the case involves more than $547 million in Medicare billings and is part of a broader nationwide crackdown on healthcare fraud that has resulted in hundreds of new criminal charges across the country.
Louisiana Indictment Returns To Headlines
Khalid Satary was originally indicted in the Eastern District of Louisiana back in 2019. Prosecutors allege he played a key role in a massive healthcare fraud scheme that generated hundreds of millions of dollars in Medicare claims through diagnostic testing laboratories.

Satary now ranks among the nation's most sought-after healthcare fraud fugitives after allegedly failing to appear for court proceedings and remaining on the run since late 2022.

Federal prosecutors said Satary owned and operated several diagnostic testing laboratories, including Performance Laboratories in Oklahoma, Lazarus Services in Louisiana and Clio Labs in Georgia.
Satary is accused of taking part in a scheme to solicit medically unnecessary cancer genetic tests from Medicare beneficiaries through telemarketing and health fairs.

FBI Expands Most Wanted Fraudsters List
The announcement came as the U.S. Department of Justice revealed charges against 455 defendants in healthcare fraud investigations spanning dozens of states.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced Satary's addition to the agency's Most Wanted Fraudsters list during a recent Justice Department news conference.
The FBI believes he may be living overseas and has identified possible connections to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Reward Offered For Information
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information that leads to Satary's arrest and conviction. The FBI is encouraging anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact law enforcement by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI, or 1-800-225-5324, or submitted online at tips.fbi.gov.
Satary is also known to use the aliases of Khalid Satary, Khalid A. Satary, Khalio A. Satary, Rocky Satary and DJ Rock Satary. He was born in 1972 and is described as about 5 foot 7 inches tall, 150 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.
