One of the reasons the holiday season feels so magical is because Christmastime is the only time that the past, the present, and the future come together in harmony. Or if you're related to me, in a not so harmonious but quite humorous manner.

That confluence of then and now is well represented on the Lifetime Television Network and served with a little South Louisiana spice to boot just in time for your holiday enjoyment.

The network currently has two films on its holiday schedule that were directed and written by Lake Charles native Emily Moss Wilson. The films, Christmas in Louisiana and A Christmas Wish all embody the spirit of the holiday season with just the right amount of Louisiana joie de vivre.

Wilson says the film Christmas in Louisiana has more of a classic holiday movie feel. The action of the movie is set around three different love stories. Wilson says the individual stories within the story offer viewers of every age a compelling story to latch on to. This is the film that stars singer and actress Jana Kramer and was filmed in New Iberia.

The other film, A Christmas Wish, features cast members from the popular television series One Tree Hill. That story is set in Ponchatoula and is not as much of an in your face kind of Christmas story as it is a romantic comedy set during the holiday season. However, the film does have its holiday moments too.

Christmas in Louisiana will air on the Lifetime Network on Saturday, November 16th. A Christmas Wish will air on the same network on November 28th.
