Louisiana Supreme Court Rejects Brandon Scott Lavergne’s Appeal
The Louisiana Supreme Court has rejected Brandon Scott Lavergne's request to overturn his guilty pleas in two murders, those being Mickey Shunick and Lisa Pate.
Lavergne's case was one of 57 rejected this past Friday.
Lavergne claims he felt pressured to plead guilty to the deaths of Shunick and 35-year-old Lisa Pate by pretrial publicity, and because he faced a possible death penalty.
Brandon Scott Lavergne is currently in prison serving a life sentence.
