Louisiana Tax Amnesty Ends Friday

If you're behind, delinquent, or just haven't paid your Louisiana state taxes you can actually catch up and catch a break if you act by Friday November 14th.  The state's tax amnesty program allows you to pay what you owe and only pay 50% of the interest that is owed in association with your delinquent taxes.

For those who owe more than that can afford to pay in one lump sum this year's tax amnesty program allows for an installment plan. This means the tax payer can arrange payments that fit within their budget and make a monthly payment toward the tax burden and still take advantage of the reduced interest payments.

It is hoped this special program that is set to expire at the end of the week will help our state collect more than $104 million dollars in back taxes.
