Louisiana Taxpayers Will Have To Wait Until March To Receive State Tax Refunds

If you are a taxpayer that files their income tax early like me, you will be waiting a little while to see your state return come in. The State of Louisiana has announced that state taxpayers will not see their refunds until March.

The State Department of Revenue announced Wednesday that it won't start issuing refunds until the week of March 2. The reason behind this is that they are taking extra precautions because of fraudulent tax returns and they want to make sure everyone receives their full refund.

Even though the delay is only by one week, it will give the revenue department more time to use a verification process to identify individual taxpayers.
