My daughter was pleasantly surprised when her tax refund showed up in her bank account two weeks before she expected it this week. After all, the IRS has announced it could take up to three weeks refunds to be issued after filing.

We're going to NEED some free food after Tax Day!  I filed early this year-highly unusual for me, but I didn't want my refund to get caught up in one of the ridiculous government shutdowns that seem to be around these days. Enjoy the freebies, ya'll, and remember...Big Brother is watching you.

Christmas has NOTHING on tax season, as far as the stress factor goes. Since we are always looking for ways to save money....let's start with deductions you might not have thought of.
