I wonder what it would feel like to have tens of thousands of dollars land in your lap? I don't mean literally, that might hurt, but figuratively I would imagine that pain would not be the feeling of note. Such a windfall has happened to a Mega Millions lottery player who purchased a ticket for Tuesday night's drawing.

For the September 24th drawing a ticket sold in Louisiana matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Mega Ball. The ticket purchaser had also opted for the Megaplier option. By adding the Megaplier the player increased their win from a mere $10,000 to $40,000.

Here's the way the numbers dropped for the Tuesday night drawing.

The $40,000 ticket was purchased at Johnny's Superette #1 in Denham Springs. That ticket holder will need to contact the Louisiana Lottery to see about claiming their prize.

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for tonight with the top prize expected to be an estimated $40 million dollars. The jackpot returned to its starting total after a $227 million dollar prize was won in Tuesday night's Mega Millions game. That winning ticket was reportedly sold in the central Texas town of Cedar Park.
