Louisiana Veterans Day Events

Our military veterans will be celebrated all over the state of Louisiana this weekend, and on Monday, November 11, which is Veteran's Day - rightly so! Our friends at Louisiana National Guard Enlisted Association have compiled a list of events throughout Louisiana, so wherever you are, you can thank those who have fought for our country, and remember those who did not make it.

Some of the events around Acadiana include the Veteran's Appreciation Day Event at the American Legion Post 69 in Lafayette on Saturday, November 9. Veterans and their families are invited to attend at the Post at 1501 Surrey Street, Lafayette - activities  start at 10:00 a.m. There will be food following the event as well as raffles and door prizes. There will also be a 'Raise the Flag' event on Monday November 11 at STEM Magnet Academy, 805 Teurlings Dr.in Lafayette.

Southwind Assisted Living, Southwind Nursing Home, and Encore Nursing Home in Crowley will celebrate local veterans with a special Veteran's Day program at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 11. The Crowley Fire Department, First United Methodist Church, and the local VFW and American Legion will also be on hand to honor our Veterans.
