Louisiana Woman Collects on Her $825K Lotto Jackpot

A Louisiana woman won big in the Louisiana Lottery Lotto drawing a couple of weeks back and officials have confirmed that she has claimed her prize.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, Louisiana Lottery officials confirmed that the $825,000 Lotto jackpot from the March 20, 2024, drawing was claimed on March 28, 2024, by Frances Richardson of Simsboro, Louisiana.

According to officials, Richardson received a cool $717,500 after state and federal withholdings.

The single winning ticket was purchased at Shop-A-Lot #17 on Cut Off Road in Coushatta, Louisiana.

The store received a 1% bonus for selling the ticket. That amount came out to $8,250.

Another $1 Million Winner

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, a $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Alexandria, Louisiana at Albertson's #3215 at 2265 S. Macarthur Drive.

The identity of the winning individual has not been made public so far.

Powerball Jackpot Getting Huge

Lottery fever is high right now as the Powerball jackpot is getting to near-record levels.

The estimated jackpot for the Saturday, April 6, 2024, drawing is a whopping $1.23 billion. The cash value would be around $595.1 million.
