Man Breaks 5-Month-Old Daughter’s Thumb To Stop Her From Sucking It

A father in Port St. Lucie, Florida is not winning any "Dad of the Year" awards anytime soon. Not after he broke his 5-month-old daughter's thumb in an attempt to get her to stop sucking it!

When the  girl's mother noticed the swollen thumb, Orane Gowans told his baby's mama that it was probably just an insect bite and they should not take the baby to the doctor.

Good thing the mom was smarter than that and brought the kid to the hospital. An x-ray revealed multiple fractures and Gowans was arrested on a child abuse charge.

What do you suggest as a punishment for this young man?
