McDonald’s Monopoly Returns to Louisiana With Cash, Cars, and More

(KMDL-FM) - McDonald's is bringing back one of its biggest promotions of all-time as customers are about to walk onto Baltic Avenue. Yep, the fast-food giant is bringing back Monopoly.

McDonald’s Monopoly Returns to Louisiana This Fall

The promotion, based on the classic Hasbro board game, will be returning to McDonald's restaurants across Louisiana on October 6.

It's been a while since we got to enjoy the fun of McDonald's Monopoly as the promotion was last done in the U.S. in 2014.

How to Play the McDonald’s Monopoly Game

There is one big difference this go-round for the promotion though. Instead of a physical board, customers will mostly play through the McDonald's app as registered loyalty members. Game pieces will be scanned into the McDonald's app for redemption.

However, physical game pieces will appear on some food items, such as a large fry box. Those can still be peeled and scanned into the app to redeem.

Prizes You Can Win in 2025

In addition to free food, Monopoly players could win $1 million, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, 1 million American Airlines miles, and a trip for four to Universal Orlando Resort.

Pre-Register for Bonus Rewards Points

To play Monopoly, customers must download the app, opt in to rewards and register for the game. Those who pre-register between now and Oct. 5 will receive 500 bonus MyMcDonald's Rewards points.
