A Canadian mother was furious when she learned her kid's school disapproved of the lunch she sent them to school with, and made them eat Ritz crackers.

Kristen Bartkiw sent her two young kids to school with a homemade lunch of roast beef, potatoes, carrots, oranges and milk. She was told by the school that the lunch she provided was "unbalanced" and therefore had to be supplemented with Ritz crackers.

Oh, and they fined her $10

Apparently, she neglected to include "grains" with her kids Natalie and Logan's packed lunches. This was seen as  "dereliction" that was "corrected" through the "supplementation" of Ritz crackers. So, the lunch was deemed unacceptable by the school, they made the kids eat Ritz crackers to "balance" out the meal. They fined her $5 for each child's "unbalanced" lunch!
