What is the Most Louisiana town in all of Louisiana?
I guess to answer that, you'd have to start with what you think makes "Louisiana" Louisiana. I know for me, the first item I am going to factor in is food. Louisiana certainly has its unique flavors, but those flavors come from several cultures; we're not just Cajun, we are Creole, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, and a lot of other influences.
So, I guess culture would figure into any answer you came up with for the "most Louisiana" question as well. I will say the town that Google came up with does have many different cultures as part of its makeup.
I would also want to include nature as part of my answer for the "most Louisiana town in Louisiana," wouldn't you? I do think our natural environment is part of the reason why people seek the solitude and serenity of places like Lake Martin and the Bayou Teche.
We would probably want to include history and historical preservation as part of the query, too. Louisiana life leans a lot on the past. We love our elders, and we are taught at an early age to respect the lessons they teach. So, history and storytelling would figure into my answer, just as they figured into Google's answer as well.
No, I didn't forget music. You can't explain Louisiana without a melody. We march to the beat of a different tuba here along the bayou. Yeah, we'd march to a drum if we had one, but we don't always need a drum. Life in Louisiana has its own rhythm, and I can tell you with 100% certainty the "most Louisiana town in Louisiana" has got its own very unique beat.
