Most Popular Halloween Candy In Each State

Trick-or-treating is just over two weeks away and I cannot wait to raid my son's bucket to see what kind of goodies he has for his ole daddy! (OK, let's be honest, it's what all good parents do.)

We all have our favorites. You know, like anything "bite sized" is usually awesome.

A survey was recently conducted to find out the most popular Halloween candies for 2015. The results were broken down by state and candy corn turns out to be one of the more popular, notching the top spot in five states: Oregon, Wyoming, Texas, Tennessee and South Carolina. No other candy got first place in that many states.

"Children look forward to trick-or-treating and, over the years, these timeless Halloween candies have remained a constant across generations...that naturally led us to pursue this research project," Aydin Acar, Co-Founder and CEO of Influenster, the company that conducted the survey.

The candy included on the survey, which polled over 40,000 users from all 50 states, was chosen based on ratings on Influenster's website. The average age of respondents was 28.

I am shocked that Swedish Fish came in #1 for the Bayou State. I would think it would be something like Reese's peanut butter cups or Hershey's bars or candy corn...or well, anything but that!
