New Monument Honors George Jones

Fans will now have a place to honor the memory of one of the most famous country stars in history - George Jones, who passed away on April 26. From our friends at The Boot:

The Nashville grave site of George Jones will soon feature a monument in memory of the iconic singer, his widow has announced. Nancy Jones shared the news with Jones' fans in a post to his official website. The plaque reads, "This is a rendering of the monument that is being prepared and will be placed in the coming weeks. Thank you for all your love and support shown to George and to me. God bless, Nancy."

It was placed at the grave site just in time for one of the biggest weeks in country music - CMA Music Fest / Fan Fair. We will miss the Possum, but his music will live on forever....
