I can't imagine how many times Blaine Roy has heard over the last few years - "Hey baw, when you gonna some new music out?" And that's just from me!

We can rip on Blaine because he has been a long time friend of the radio station.

However, it has been a while since the Duson native has had new music. I believe his self-titled debut disc came out in 2004. It was a nice effort from one of Acadiana's best pure country music singers.

The cd featured solid offerings you've no doubt heard on 97.3 The Dawg like "Leave It In the Past," "Daddy's Little Girl," "They Don't Cost a Dime" and more.

Now fast forward to today and we've finally got new music from Blaine Roy. It's a great new track called "Honky Tonk and the Altar". The song comes from some accomplished Nashville songwriters, one of which is Brad Paisley's best bud Kelly Lovelace.

Give it a listen and judge for yourself if you think it's a hit or not. Then make sure you comment below and let us know what you think of it. As soon as it's available, we'll let you know where you can scoop up a copy of this song. Good job brother Blaine! And thanks for keeping it country!!
