One Dead, Another Hospitalized After Toledo Bend Boating Accident

Some sad news being reported by KATC. Earlier this morning, two men were involved in a boating accident in Toledo Bend leaving one man dead, and the other hospitalized.

74-year-old David McManus was pronounced dead at the scene according to Ron Rivers, Sabine Parish Assistant Coroner.

KATC reports "They were following some family members in another boat, and McManus' boat hit the wake of that boat, and both men were thrown into the lake. Neither man was wearing a life vest".

The other man was flown to a Shreveport hospital for breathing complications. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
