Pearson’s Luggage And Gifts Announces They’re Going Out Of Business

Pearson's Luggage and Gifts has been in business in Lafayette for as long as I can remember. Today, they have announced the unfortunate news that they'll be closing their doors for good.

Pearson's Luggage and Gifts issued a press release this morning announcing their closure due to what they say is a result of online shopping. Pearson's has been serving the Acadiana area for 37 years.

From the official press release -

Beginning Tuesday February 7, 2017 Pearson’s will begin a clearance sale with the intention of liquidating its entire inventory as well as displays and stock room equipment.  The sale will begin at an extra 20%-50% off retail, and will continue till all inventory is liquidated.  This is a real liquidation sale not a come-on sale. Name brands such as Tumi, Rimowa, Briggs and Riley, and Bosca are available on a first come basis.  NO SPECIAL ORDERS. 

Thank you, Lafayette, and the entire trading area for 37 wonderful years.  The Baton Rouge location will remain open.
