Police have turned over The Grand 16 back to its owners, according to Lafayette Police.

The owners of the theater have retained the Lafayette Police Department to provide security detail for the building during the clean-up process.

"They are in the process of arranging those individuals or that business that's going to come to the theater and clean up," said Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton about the owners' plan to move forward.

As for any type of permanent security, police says this is up to the owners to decide whether to hire an outside source.

There has been no re-opening date set yet for The Grand 16.

The investigation continues as well.

As of late yesterday afternoon, there were still three of the victims hospitalized. One each at Lafayette General, Our Lady of Lourdes and Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

The patient at Lourdes is listed as fair while the other two are in good condition.
