Political Action Committee Targets David Vitter

The Louisiana Governor's race has been quite gentile for the first few months. I have a feeling it is  about to become a murky caldron of festering goo. A new political action committee has been formed for the sole purpose of informing Louisiana voters about Senator David Vitter and his record.  The Gumbo Pac has released a new video that, in their opinion, tells the truth about the man that Vitter truly is.

There's a lot of people around the state that are concerned that having David Vitter as governor would not be in the best interest of the people of Louisiana.

 

Trey Ourso is the Gumbo PAC Chairman and he told the Louisiana Radio Network that the intention of the group is to make sure all the facts on Mr. Vitter are out in the open. Including information on Vitter's sex scandal with the DC Madam and claims from a former New Orleans prostitute.

When people assess the candidates for governor, they need to look at how they handle themselves in their public life and types of decisions they make.  And we think it's relevant that voters understand the full record.

In response to the video and claims made by it, the David Vitter camp released the following statement.

Sadly, this is more politics as usual from liberal Obama Democrats and their allies.  When you fight to really reform things --like taking away politicians' automatic pay raises and special Obamacare exemptions--this crowd is gonna come after you.  But David Vitter is undeterred.  He'll continue to lead, to lay out his plan to build a brighter future for all Louisianians.

Louisiana voters will go to the polls on October 24th to elect a new Governor.
