UPDATE 4:35 p.m.: All interstate roadways now open except I-110, I-10 westbound at the Twin Spans

BATON ROUGE -- The Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that all Interstate roadways except for I-110 in Baton Rouge and I-10 at the Twin Spans westbound in New Orleans are now open.

Crews are working to de-ice I-110 and the westbound lane on the Twin Spans.

As DOTD workers continue to help Interstate 10 thaw out, a huge portion of it has now reopened.

According to the DOTD website, Interstate 10 is now open eastbound from Highland Rd. (La. 42) to the Mississippi state line. Crews have de-iced the bridges and roadways in that section.

I-10 westbound remains closed from near I-510 New Orleans to I-149 in Lafayette as crews continue to de-ice the bridges and roadways.

Other major Interstate closures are:

  • I-49 from MLK Blvd. to Mira Myrtis Road in Caddo Parish
  • I-12 from Baton Rouge to near Covington
  • I-110 in Baton Rouge
  • I-55 from LaPlace to Ponchatoula
  • I-610 in New Orleans
  • I-310 between Destrehan and Kenner
