The ticket's purchaser did not opt for the Powerplay so that ticket that could have been $200,000 with the Powerball is by rule a $50,000 winner.

Where Was the Big Powerball Winner in Louisiana Sold?

Last night's winner fit the pattern perfectly for Louisiana winning tickets. It was sold within 50 miles of I-10 and it was purchased in one of the state's major metropolitan areas that I-10 runs through.
