Powerball Jackpot Continues To Climb – $625 Million On Saturday
There was no big winner in last night's Powerball drawing. That means the over half a billion dollar jackpot will continue to climb. Lottery officials estimate that by the time Saturday night's drawing happens the Powerball jackpot will be an estimated $625 million. That would make it the fourth largest in the game's history.
The numbers that were drawn for the March 20, 2019 drawing were:
For the first time in recent weeks, there were no big money winners in Ville Platte. That small Evangeline Parish town has had consecutive $50,000 winners in the last two Powerball drawings, but alas, the streak has ended.
Powerball administrators say the estimated one-time cash payout for a single winning ticket in Saturday's drawing will be worth 380.6 million. Of course, that number is before tax and there would be a lot of taxes on a financial windfall of almost $400 million.
The next drawing for the Powerball game will be Saturday night at 9:59 Louisiana time. By rule, ticket sales must cease at least one hour before the drawing so if you plan on playing you'll need to make sure you have secured your tickets before ticket sale end.
