Professional Clowns Angry at Trailer for Stephen King’s Remake of ‘IT’ [VIDEO]
If you are one of the millions of people who love horror movies, and are excited about the remake of Stephen King's classic film 'IT', then you need to watch the official trailer for the movie above. If you are a scaredy cat, don't even think about viewing it, because it is really really scary. So scary, in fact, that professional clowns all over the world are protesting that it is hurting their business.
In the first 24 hours after the trailer was released, it was viewed over 197 million times, breaking a record, and becoming the most watched movie trailer in history. The film is a reboot of the 1990 mini series, based on the 1986 novel by horror guru Stephen King.
Performers who make their living acting at birthday parties for small children are afraid that clowns will now be viewed in a negative light. They say it is a realistic expectation, and not like being afraid of a shark after seeing the movie 'Jaws'.
If you haven't seen the trailer yet, you can watch it above, and let us know if they have a valid point. I'm not afraid of clowns, but this new and improved Pennywise is making me re-think that just a little bit.
'IT' will hit theaters on September 8th.
