That's right folks! According to, this accolade that the Cajuns received from the NCAA was all thanks to you! The Ragin' Cajuns team received the honor on Tuesday when the NCAA announced that UL "had the top attendance increase for the 2011 season!"

“This honor is just a testament to the great fans we have here at UL,” head football coach Mark Hudspeth said. “I appreciate our fans accepting my challenge to pack Cajun Field and make it a great place to play. Even though we had the top increase in attendance last year, I think its only going to get better next year.”

The Cajuns had an average increase of 11,788 per game setting both the Sun Belt Conference average and total attendance record and the UL average attendance record.


UL beat out many big schools for this honor! Fans who want season tickets for the 2012 season can purchase them either:

2. The Cajundome Box Office. Open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Cajuns begin spring practice on Feb. 28. The annual spring game will be on the weekend of March 30-31
