Ragin’ Cajuns Projected To Meet Who In New Orleans Bowl?
My favorite time of the college football season is bowl week. That's when there is wall to wall football on television and I don't have to worry, except in a few cases, about my favorite teams losing. This year will be different, four teams that I follow are projected to be in post season play. We're all pretty sure that you're going to need hotel reservations in New Orleans on December 17 to support the Cajuns but who are they going to face?
According to the folks at Rivals.com we can expect the Thundering Herd of Marshall University to be lined up on the opposite side of the Mercedes Benz Superdome turf on that Saturday night in December.
All I know about Marshall is they suffered a tragic loss in their football program many years ago because of a plane crash. I think an almost equal tragedy was that awful Matthew McCounaughey movie they made about the incident. Randy Moss the wide reciever that used to kill the Saints when he played for the Minnesota Vikings went to Marshall too. Already I don't like the Thundering Herd.
The other teams I have my eye on, LSU it looks like the BCS title game for the Tigers, I hope so. My Mississippi teams, Southern Miss and Mississippi State will be heading for the Ticket City Bowl in Dallas and the Liberty Bowl in Memphis respectively.
If you'd like the complete projections for all the bowl games we have those for you here. Go Cajuns, Go Tigers, Go Eagles, Go Dawgs, it's going to be a great college bowl season.
