Scott Businesses to Host Virtual Easter Egg Hunt
This is Easter week. It's going to be an Easter week like we have never seen before. For the first time in my lifetime, many churches will be empty this weekend where they are normally packed to capacity in celebration of the holiday. Louisiana's Stay-at-Home order is the reason. However, church services aren't the only Easter celebrations that have been affected by the pandemic.
As you might imagine all of the public Easter egg hunts that might normally be held this time of year have been canceled. However, members of the Scott Business Association are not going to let the pandemic steal all of our Easter fun.
The virtual Easter Egg hunt in Scott will be held on Easter Sunday, April 12th beginning at 1 pm. The Scott Business Association is making Easter egg designs available for download for children to color, decorate, and display on their windows or doors. Residents are then encouraged to drive through the city's streets and neighborhoods to see how many virtual eggs they can virtually "collect"
The Scott Business Association has created four different egg designs that you may download and decorate as you see fit. Design 1, Design 2, Design 3, and Design 4 may be downloaded and printed then decorated before display.
There is also a "golden egg" that will be on display somewhere in the city during the virtual hunt. The first three children who submit selfie pictures with the golden egg at its location will be eligible for a special prize donated by Chadmat Safety Systems. Those pictures will need to be posted on the Scott Business Association Facebook page in order to qualify for the prizes.
