For so many of us the dream of being a cowboy slipped from our conscience about the same time as we ran out of quarters for the mechanical horse in front of the Wal-Mart. Still the spirit of a cowboy, I think, lives on in each of us but what defines that spirit? Is it the rough and tumble, hard living, fast loving facade that Hollywood wants us to believe is true? Or is the spirit of the American Cowboy found in a more gentle soul, a soul that lives beyond basic human comprehension in an unspoken connection with nature? Meet Buck, he is coming to a theatre near you in June and his story is one that just might change your life.

This story I believe will inspire many who have faced more than their share of struggles. The film has won honors at SXSW and the Sundance Film Festival and yes, Robert Redford does make an appearance in this documentary. This isn't made up Hollywood fantasy. This isn't a story of a man who trains horses. This is a story of man who uses horses to train people. Even though we open our eyes to the same amazing world, we don't always have the same point of view. It's not really what you see that's important, it's how you choose to look at things. I for one will be looking and hoping this film will be playing at a theatre near me this Summer.
