It was the day after Christmas 2018. That was the last time a ticket sold for the multi-state Powerball lottery game matched all five of the white ball numbers and the Powerball to claim the game's jackpot.

That was until last night's drawing.

There was a single ticket sold in last night's Powerball drawing that matched all of the numbers necessary to lay claim to the estimated $768.4 million jackpot. That ticket was sold in Wisconsin in the town of New Berlin. New Berlin is a community that is located about 20 minutes to the east of Milwaukee.

The winning ticket matched all the numbers drawn for last night's game. Which by the way, the numbers drawn were:

According to Louisiana Lottery officials, there was a ticket sold in the state that matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball. That ticket is worth $50,000 and was sold in Kentwood.

The Powerball jackpot will now return to its normal starting level of $40 million. The next drawing in the game will be held on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot has continued to grow while everyone was focused on the Powerball money.

The money in the Mega Millions jackpot is now an estimated $75 million. The next drawing in that game will be Friday night.
