(KMDL-FM) The multi-state lottery game Powerball has made another big winner in Louisiana. Monday night's drawing didn't produce a jackpot win anywhere in the game's international footprint, but it did bring a $100,000 windfall to at least one Louisiana player.

Powerball had the annuitized estimated jackpot listed at $313.5 million for Monday night's drawing. The cash value, or lump-sum payout as it's often called, was estimated to be $133.8 million. As we mentioned earlier, no tickets were sold that matched the numbers drawn, so the jackpot will continue to grow as we build toward Wednesday's drawing.

Louisiana Ticket Wins Powerball's 2nd Largest Prize in Monday's Drawing

There was only one other ticket sold for Monday's Powerball drawing that produced a larger payout than the $100,000 winner sold in Louisiana. There was a Match 5 Million winner. That's when a ticket matches all five of the white balls drawn but does not match the Powerball. In this case, the million-dollar winner was sold in the United Kingdom.

And yes, you can play Powerball in the U.K. That is something new the game has added just this year. And because my mind wanders, if a U.K. winner wins a Powerball jackpot, they will get paid in British Pounds and not U.S. Dollars. However, in the U.K., a Powerball winner must take the jackpot as an annuity. The lump-sum payout is not offered in the U.K.

As far as Louisiana wins go, in addition to the $100,000 winner, there was not a lot to write home about. The state did have several thousand $4, $7, $8, and $14 winners, but only eight tickets won a prize of $100 and another eight tickets won a prize of $200. Still, if you won, you probably want to check out the drawing.

The Louisiana Lottery has not revealed the point-of-purchase details on the $100,000 winner. We will have those for you later this morning or when they become available. We would like to mention if you played the Lottery's Bingo Game and you played with a ticket sold at the Murphy USA station in Abbeville, LA, you have a $5,000 winner that has yet to be claimed.

With no jackpot winner, the estimated top prize in the next Powerball drawing will be $332 million, with a lump-sum estimate of $141.7 million. That drawing will take place on Wednesday night along with the Louisiana Lottery's Lotto Game and the Easy 5 game.

Tonight's (Tuesday) chance at instant millions comes in the form of the Mega Millions game. The jackpot in that multi-state game is listed at $261 million.
