Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled for Friday in Lafayette

A sobriety checkpoint is scheduled in Lafayette for this Friday, July 15.

According to Lafayette Police, officers will be conducting an OWI checkpoint within the incorporated limits of Lafayette.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substance.

Officers working the checkpoint will respond with zero tolerance towards those drivers found to be under the influence.

If you intend to drink, as always, you are encouraged to designate a driver.
