Lent in south Louisiana usually means an abundance of seafood, and some really delicious dishes that go along with that. Not really a sacrifice, but still a unique and wonderful part of our religious season leading up to Easter.

Father Paul D. Seil is the host for the half hour TV show 'Our Daily Bread', which celebrates food, faith, and Catholic fellowship. He gives us some great ideas for Lenten dishes, and they are sprinkled with his own belief and devotion.

Sometimes a little inspiration is all we need to put a special meal on the table for our family, so enjoy his recipes, and be glad that we live in an area of abundance for this special time of year!
