To some people, Louisiana is a very spooky place. Lots of mystery, voodoo, ghosts, and swamp stories. I mean, it's no secret that the ghost tours in New Orleans are wildly popular, and not just for tourists. But those of us who live here have puzzled for years over some unsolved mysteries that might, or might not, ever get solved. Around Halloween time these seem especially creepy, or is it just me?

  •  8 women were killed in and around the Jennings area from 2005 - 2009, and no one has ever even been arrested in this suspected serial killer case.
  •  Marie Laveau - Voodoo priestess, queen of the occult,  or just a regular person with a bad rep? And how did she really die?
  •  Haunted Delta Queen - The Delta Queen Riverboat supposedly is one of the most haunted ships in the USA. Apparently it has some cabins that became 'haunted' after a ship captain died in Cabin 109.
  • The mysterious disappearance of Audrey Moate - Audrey was with her lover Thomas Hotard at a remote location during one of their trysts. Thomas was found murdered. Audrey has never been found.
  • Where is Hazel Head? This alleged murderer has 15 aliases, and was last seen in Bossier City, where she was implicated in the murder of Charles Barker.
  • Macabre Whistler haunts State Trooper's fiancee - 18 year old Jacqueline Cadow was tormented by a whistler that followed her around her Paradis, La home, intent on breaking up her impending nuptials.
  • AJ Breaux - Mr Breaux disappeared after attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, and has never been heard from since.

Check out some of the other unsolved, and creepy stories across our beautiful Louisiana from Only in Your State. I can say that I have never driven over the Atchafalaya Basin bridge without thinking that there are more mysteries in there than we know.
