If kids want to attend tonight's Sulphur Golden Tors home football game against the Lafayette Mighty Lions, they'll need to be accompanied by an adult.

Administrators at the Calcasieu Parish school made a post on Facebook yesterday with new guidelines regarding elementary and middle school students and how they will be permitted to enter any Sulphur High School sporting event going forward.

It was not immediately made clear as to why these new guidelines were specifically put into place, but reading between the lines, there have been some issues already this school year.

And in reading some of the comments on the above post, some fans are claiming they have witnessed some unruly kids at previous games.

Another person had a popular summarization of the issues with some kids these days.

Administrators on the Sulphur High School Facebook page responded to the many comments with the following:

Regardless of past situations or incidents, this will be the policy moving forward. SHS sporting events should be enjoyed by all, and loitering under the bleachers does not allow this to happen.

We thank our SHS community for cooperating with this new policy.

It should be interesting to see how things proceed moving forward. Tonight's football game should be somewhat of a barometer towards finding out if issues remain or if this new policy helps in thwarting unruly children.
