‘Swamp People’ Cast Members Arrested In Houma
Two members of the hit reality television show "Swamp People" have been arrested for allegedly attacking a man with a beer bottle last month.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Jerry Larpenter told The Courier 51-year-old R.J. Molinere and his son, 25-year-old Jay Paul Molinere, both of Bourg, are accused of ganging up on a 24-year-old man Aug. 8 at a convenience store, hitting him repeatedly with the beverage. Larpenter says the victim suffered a black eye, a swollen jaw and a welt on his forehead.
Authorities say it's unclear what sparked the argument.
Both suspects surrendered Friday and were booked on aggravated battery charges. Each was released after each posted $1,000 bond. It's unclear if either had an attorney.
"Swamp People" follows several Louisiana alligator hunters during the month-long gator season.
