Who needs to text when you can just send an emoji?

To celebrate World Emoji Day yesterday, Apple released a preview of the new emojis coming later this year.

Apple just announced that when they roll out the next version of their iOS operating system, we're also getting a bunch of new emojis.

Oxford dictionaries just announced their word of the year for 2015 and the top spot went to an emoji.

It looks like the plan may be changing. Instead of a dislike button, Facebook has begun testing "reaction emojis".

A total of 38 new emojis have been approved and will be arriving on your smartphone in the near future.
