Heads up, fellow Louisianians, we found more unbelievable and crazy laws on the books. Pay attention if you don't want to get arrested!

Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law, so we need to all make sure we know the new Louisiana laws going into effect tomorrow, August 1st. There are quite a few new Louisiana laws concerning tickets, sex offenders, childcare and more.

Currently, to obtain a permit to carry a firearm in Louisiana, a person must be at least 21-years-old with no criminal record, complete a gun training class, and pay a fee.

In only the past seven days, I've almost been in three vehicle accidents. Two of these happened on the same day while on my way home from work. Was it because I'm a horrible, reckless driver? No. All I was doing was merging into turning lanes, but as I did, other drivers were barreling towards the light because they didn't want to wait until it was the proper time to do so. This has to stop.

LGBT Rights, the use of monkeys as service animals, designation of an official state butterfly, marijuana use, and criminal history on job applications are just some of the bills being considered by Louisiana lawmakers in the upcoming session.
