May 2012:  Southwest Louisiana was in a frenzy as Westlake native Joshua Ledet climbed the ranks of American Idol.  Joshua Ledet was everywhere you turned. And then, all of a sudden?  Nothing.  And we've been waiting eagerly to hear what's next for mega-talented singer ever since.  What's Josh been up to?  Well, we asked him.

Luke Bryan keeps on spitting out the hits as he has just put out a new song called "Buzzkill". It's one of two new songs off his forthcoming Spring Break: Here to Party.

Blake Shelton fans sure got their fill of good news regarding the singer this morning (Feb. 11). Not only did he share his 'Sure Be Cool If You Did' video, but the singer also confirmed that he will release a new album entitled 'Based on a True Story…' on March 26.

Today at noon we're having a special edition of the Bayou Country Show. It's the Cajun Christmas Nights Tailgate Party leading up to the pregame of the New Orleans Saints vs. New York Giants at 1:30pm.

I'll have a large pepperoni pizza and Taylor Swift please. Well you will be able to get that at Papa John's soon. Sort of.

Blake Shelton has his very first Christmas out in stores today. It's called Cheers, It's Christmas. The disc features a few guests too from the likes of Miranda Lambert and Reba to Michael Bublé to Blake's very own mother!

Every Sunday night from 6pm-8pm on 97.3 The Dawg I host the Bayou Country Show. It's two hours of great Louisiana music. Most of the musicians play right here in Acadiana on any given weekend. From great country to cajun to zydeco and swamp pop, the show is a great melting pot of fantastic home grown music.

‘Red.’ That’s the title of Taylor Swift‘s upcoming, 16-song 2012 new album, which will be released on October 22. She revealed the big news during her live YouTube web chat on Monday (Aug. 13). If you’re keeping track, that’s almost two years to the day since the release of ‘Speak Now,’ which dropped on Oct. 25 back in 2010.

Just when you think Kenny Chesney can’t get any hotter, he goes and proves you wrong. The country superstar’s new album ‘Welcome to the Fishbowl’ debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, selling more than 193,000 units in its opening week according to Nielsen SoundScan. ‘Fishbowl’ is Chesney’s eleventh straight album to debut in the top position.

The next single off of that cd is about to hit the airwaves of 97.3 The Dawg. The song is called "Come Over" and it is no doubt another soon-to-be #1 hit.

Travis Matte & the Kingpins are back at it again. They've got a brand new cd that just came out called "Let's Party". You can bet it's the same good fun as we've all come to love from this band.
