The King, George Strait, will release a new cd entitled "Here For a Good Time"  this Tuesday, September 6th. It of course features the title track, "Here For a Good Time", which is currently screaming up the country music charts.

We got our shipment in today and I immediately ripped open a cd and popped it into the computer. Yep, it's solid George Strait music all right! I think old school Strait fans will love it as much as the younger audience. I find this disc has a little more serious tone. The fact that George and his son Bubba co-wrote seven of the 11 tracks might have something to do with that. Don't get me wrong, there's still some fun dittys including the title track and also the cd's lead song, "Love's Gonna Make It Alright". But there are some heavy hitters.

And that's where we start. Cut #4 is called "Poison" and there is no doubt that one could be a smash on the radio. It's just too relatable. We all know someone who's battled that demon.

So for the second preview song I just had to brighten things up a bit. Try this one on for size. It's track #10, "Blue Marlin Blues".

And your last sneak peek song is just that, YOURS! The last song on the album is obviously a song that George decided to write and record for his fans. I can't believe he's been having hit songs since 1981. Enjoy this one ya'll.

So there you go, just a sampling of the goodness that the new George Strait cd beholds. Make sure you pick up a copy on Tuesday when it hits stores and all the digital sites. You won't be disappointed.

Oh, and if you're just really cheap, you can win your copy as part of our Free Tune Tuesday.
