Reaching out for help when in the darkest of times is now be a little bit easier.

Talk to your friends, as there are many people who are not "OK" in today's climate, and commit the number to memory: 988

Soon, people who are struggling with their mental health will be able to simply dial 988 for help.

Starting on October 24, 2021, all phone calls will now require an area code when dialing the number. This will be required for all calls made, even for local calls.

The way you dial a local number will be changing over the next six months.
