New Orleans' own Tank and the Bangas are on fire.

I would love to give you a "sounds like" list of bands or artists when it comes to Tarriona "Tank" Ball and her crew... but I can't. They literally sound like nobody else but themselves and their sound is catching on worldwide.

I remember seeing and hearing Tank & The Bangas for the first time when they won the 2017 NPR Tiny Desk Concert Contest. I can vividly remember thinking, "wow, these guys could (and should) blow up"—and over the last two years, that's exactly what they've been doing.

Their style is something that you'll have to hear for yourself, and their national TV debut two weeks ago (April 11) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is a great place to start.

After digging through their musical offerings on the internet, the next natural step would be seeing them perform live this Friday at Festival International on the Scène TV5 Monde Stage at 9 p.m.

Also, be sure to check out the new Tank and the Bangas album "Green Balloon" when it drops on May 3.
