Baseball is full of ups and downs and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team knows that all too well this season. On Friday they had a 5-0 lead and lost in extras on a squeeze bunt and Saturday they returned the favor after coming from behind twice and took the lead on in the 11th inning a double squeeze bunt, winning for the 2nd time in a week on a squeeze bunt. The Cajuns would look to win their 4th straight series on the final day in Decatur, Georgia. The final game was a back and forth game just like the previous 2 but the Cajuns would prevail and get the 9-7 victory in 9 innings to give the Cajuns their 4th straight series victory.

The Panthers would start the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd with 2 solo home runs to take an early 2-0 lead. The Cajuns would fight back in the top of the 3rd inning as they get 1 run back on a sacrifice fly. The Panthers would score a run in the bottom of the 3rd as the Cajuns were turning a double play to extend their lead to 3-1.

In the top of the 5th inning the Cajuns would take control of the game as they would score 2 runs on 2 errors to tie the game up and then Gavin Bourgeios would hit a 3 run home run to give the Cajuns a 6-3 lead and their first lead of the game. The Cajuns would add to their lead in the top of the 6th on an RBI single from Johnathon Windham to give the Cajuns a 7-3 lead.

The Panthers would get the Cajuns in order in the 7th and 8th while the Panthers would threaten in the 7th and 8th. The Panthers had runners at 1st and 2nd in the 7th but they failed to do anything with it. They would get 3 straight singles off of Austin Perrin in the 8th inning before the Cajuns would bring in Dylan Moore. Moore would get a big strike out and then the Panthers would score a run on an error and then 2 more on an RBI double. The Panthers would tie it up on an RBI single before the runner was out at 2nd base.

The Cajuns would get Kole McKinnon on base in the top of the 9th thanks to a hit by pitch and he would steal 2nd base. Daniel Lahare would hit a 2-run home run to give the Cajuns the lead again and the Cajuns would take care of business in the bottom of the 9th and finish it off for the series win.

The Cajuns will return home and play East Division leading Coastal Carolina in a 3 game Sun Belt Conference series. All of the action can be heard on KPEL 96.5.
