The Inaugural Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff With Garth Brooks — What You Need to Know Before You Go

The inaugural Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is taking place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans this Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Garth Brooks will headline the event, with opening acts including Louisiana's own Lainey Wilson and the legendary Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

.The event is expected to be an annual Labor Day weekend affair, adding yet another world-class musical occasion to the New Orleans calendar.

If you plan to attend, there are some things you should know before you go.

Event Timeline

Below is how the day will shape up. There are some pre-show festivities that you may want to attend to make it an all-day affair.

Noon - 5:00 pm - NewOrleans.com Tailgate Town (Champions Square)

12:30 pm - Live musical performances by Austin Bishop, Alex Smith, DJ Jevity (Champions Square)

4:30 pm - Superdome doors open - Access via the gate on your ticket

7:00 pm - Live musical performances - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lainey Wilson, Garth Brooks

Cashless Operations

The Caesars Superdome is a cashless operation including all concessions, merchandise, and parking. Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment at any parking, retail, or concession locations within Caesars Superdome.

Guests can convert their cash to a Visa Card at the following Guest Service locations throughout the stadium.

100 Plaza Level
- Gates A, C & G

200 Loge Level
- Gates A, C & G

500 Terrace Level
- Gates A, C & G

Visa Cards are sold in $25 and $50 denominations and can be used at any POS location in the building including merchandise. Any remaining balance on the debit card can be used at locations where debit payments are accepted.

Clear Bag Policy

All bags are prohibited other than clear vinyl bags no larger than 12" wide x 12" height x 6" deep, Gallon Size Ziploc Bags (Limit 1 of either), and Small Clutch Purses no larger than 4.5" x 6.5". Non-clear diaper bags are prohibited.

Parking

There are several nearby lots not affiliated with the Caesars Superdome should you want to park and walk to the arena.

Otherwise, parking is available at the Caesars Superdome, and advance parking is available for purchase.

Tickets

There are seats still available for purchase for this show through Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are all priced at $87.70 plus fees.
